Tom Anstiss

Executive Producer

Tom works hand in hand with Paul Hamann as an Executive Producer across much of Wild Pictures output for BBC, C4 and ITV.

He was the Executive Producer on The Forgotten Children, Abducted, How They Steal Your I.D., two series of Fraud Squad all for ITV and a 3 part observational series for C4. In conjunction with Paul Hamann, Tom is currently overseeing a major series for BBC Two, two singles for ITV and a documentary on Stalking for BBC One. He is also developing a number of series for the UK’s leading broadcasters.

Tom has also executive produced a number of current affairs programmes for Wild Pictures including Britain’s Hidden Alcoholics and Last Chance Academy for BBC One’s Panorama and The Factory for ITV Exposure.

Tom started out at Wild Pictures as a Series Director on the critically acclaimed In the Line of Fire and Smugglers. Tom has worked with Paul Hamann for many years. At Shine he series directed an eight-part series with the Metropolitan Police Murder Investigation Teams. Aside documentaries, Tom has a strong track record in investigative journalism having made several films for Channel 4 Dispatches on subjects ranging from Honour Killings to an undercover exposés on racism, immigration crime and the food industry. Tom was trained at the BBC where he worked for the documentaries department on the award winning The Mayfair Set and also the Panorama strand. With well over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Tom has directed a wide range of factual programmes for BBC One, Two and Four, Channel 4 as well as leading international broadcasters PBS and ZDF.
