Watching Margolyes twerking was the most joyful moment of the year.

- THE TELEGRAPH:

Nuanced, funny and blisteringly forthright this documentary burns with Miriam Margolyes’s fury: “If you’re mean about fat people, I hate you.”

- THE OBSERVER

There’s extreme surgery, the body positive movement and most importantly there’s Miriam who we’d watch making a film about cement drying…

- SUNDAY MIRROR

I’m not just 78, I’m 78 and fucked basically says Miriam in this really engaging, warm hearted examination.

- THE TIMES:

Miriam’s Big Fat Adventure

2 X 60'

UK Premier 9pm Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th March 2020 on BBC 2

After a lifetime of worrying about her weight Miriam Margolyes embarks on a provocative and entertaining new journey to work out whey the nation’s getting fatter.

She finds herself in a world of extremes – meeting people fighting the fat or trying to achieve bodily perfection by any means possible including irreversible gastric surgery which means they’re only able to eat tiny amounts of food at a time.  She meets people whose weight has meant  amputation and others who unapologetically embrace, enjoy and flaunt their size.
